Dawes Glacier

Sawyer Glacier

7/17 We headed up the narrow 22 mile long Tracy Arm to see Sawyer Glacier that calves icebergs into the sea. The route is lined with 5,000 to 6,000 ft mountains that drop straight into the sea, too steep for trees to grow on. The water is over 1,000 feet deep and full of ice. The sights were awesome. The next day we went up Endicott Arm to see Dawes Glacier which was just as great as the day before. Every boater should try to do this sometime. This is as far north as we will go. Like they say in Labrador, it's not the end of the world but you can see it from here!
